This cloud of dust resides on the edge of the outer spiral arm of our galaxy. Stars that have formed inside illuminate and scatter bluish light between these dusty veils. Near the edges of the cloud, intergalactic space can be glimpsed beyond the cloud's edge. This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
